August Garden tips:
- Plant Fall crops such as broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, cabbage and collards.
- Pick Bagworm Bags from evergreens. Pesticides will not penetrate their comfy homes.
- Don't fertilize or prune "hard" shrubs and trees after the 15th. This will encourage new and tender growth which cannot tolerate the cold that's coming sooner than we know it.
